 In Dali of
Yunnan, there are many beautiful mountains and unique landscape.
For the Bai nationality, they are used to build their houses
conformed to the nature and sceneries. Lanlinge which stands by
the Cangshan Mountains and faces the Erhai is just the good
example. It has developed to be a hotel from the old houses.
In the house of Bai nationality, the representative symbol is the
screen-wall which is engraved with flowers and birds, beautiful
landscapes. The screen-wall may
 separate
the houses and let more sun-light in. The words on the wall also
illustrate the tradition of the family. The screen-wall of
Lanlinge also splits the spaces and makes it more complicated.
Similar as the old-fashion house, the center of Lanlinge is the
courtyard, around which many flowers are planted, some stone
tables and chairs are arranged in order that people may take a
rest and enjoy the glorious full moon.
The 180 houses are distributed within the structure of Three-Fang
and One Screen-Wall, and Four-He and Five-Countyard, peaceful and
tasteful. On the both sides of the trotting-horse corridors, there
are carved with flowers and fishes.
 All our
efforts are to make Lanlinge like the home.
In order to enjoy the various sceneries of Dali, we tend to leave
a big window in each room which you may see the dark-blue Cangshan
Mountains and the clouds around the mountains.
In the meanwhile, you may also feel the mist of the Erhai as well
as the fresh air, the fragrant of flowers.
