The museum, on Wuyi Lu, houses an exhibition
centered on Yunnan’s minorities, as well as a collection of
artifacts from tomb excavations at Jinning on the southern rim of
Lake Dian. All things considered, the museum is probably not worth
the foreigners’ entry fee of Y10. The exhibits are for the most
part fairly tacky shop mannequins dressed in minority colors, and
fuzzy photographs of minority festivals. The museum is open Monday
to Thursday.
